Help! We've been getting denials for bedside US being done by our ED physicians. The CPT is being bundled with the E&M. Research is not showing that it should be bundled.

Anyone else having issues? Any advice?

Let me guess...BCBS? We had the same problem (only with Blue Cross, everyone else pays fine) and the only solution was a 59 modifier. Good Luck.
