Is anyone familiar with billing Standard episode of care? The VA gives authorizations based on SEOC which is all CPT codes. We are a substance abuse facility and we bill DTX, RTC, PHP, IOP (these are all inclusive codes so its one per day) so we use a HCPC's codes. Both are on the VA fee schedule but the authorizations are always for SEOC... It states that as long as the treatment is within the realm of the seoc it seems to be fine. I am not familiar with SEOC, do I need to bill itemized for all services instead of the one hcpc? They have been paying us just want to make sure I am not missing something.
