I am probably splitting hairs over this, but I have always wondered if the following situation is an example of either Context or Timing.

"The 3 year anniversary of the death of the client's son is approaching and has the client presenting with a depressed affect."

Ok, is the anniversary of the child's death considered Timing or Context?? Yes, I know it may be splitting hairs since either definition counts towards an element of HPI. I say context because timing to me implies regularity while context does not.

Thanks and have a great weekend! :D

I would count it as context. It's saying the client is has a depressed affect because of the anniversary. It's not talking about how long the client has had the depressed affect.
