Hi Everyone,
I need help with an issue we are having at our facility. This is for Behavioral Health billing. Do you know where I can find billing/coding rules regarding NP and RN billing on the same day. We are getting conflicting information on if a NP can bill a E&M visit and a RN TBS (H2019) on the same day. Everything I have found is stating it has to be an unrelated reason for the visit in order to bill the RN TBS charge. My boss wants something out of the coding book proving that it should not be done if both are seeing the client for the same thing on the same day.
