Behavorial Health Billing Question about Nurse Practioners

I work for two NP and I wanted to see if they are allowed to supervise other NP or if not due to the scope of work, can a NP supervise LCSW or LMSW or even Medical Counselors so we can grow the practice without credentialing everyone to the practice. Thank You in advance.

No, a NP cannot supervise another NP. Check with your state practice regulations for guidelines.

NPs are considered mid level providers and cannot supervise anyone. Only physicians or an LCSW who is educated in supervising can supervise within their scope of practice.
