hello all,

I am getting a CCI edit error for billing 11420 with 12041 stating they cannot be billed together on the same day. in the cpt book under the rules for excision of benign lesions, it specifically states "for excision of benign lesions requiring more than simple closure, ie, requiring intermediate or complex closure, report 11400-11446 in addition to appropriate intermediate (12031-12057) or complex closer (13100-13153) codes. can anyone shed some light on why I am getting this edit error?
