Our central billing office is looking into purchasing an encoder for our multi-specialty group. Our goal is to assist with auditing, as well as coding help. Does anyone have any opinions on what are the best out there?
Thanks for your help!!:)

Our facility uses 3M. It is super easy to use and has resources such as Coding Clinics and Coder's Desk Reference built in. We are upgrading next year to their 360 program which is CAC software. I had the opportunity to view a demo of it, and was impressed.

I have to agree that 3M is the tops of all I have used. However the Coding clinic the CPT assistant and the CDR are extras that you have to purchase and pay for each year. I think they are worth it bu they will run the price up.
