Best Steps for New CPC-A in Dallas Area

I just got my CPC-A a week ago and am starting the process of looking for employment. Since this is the kind of field where it seems that you need to have experience to gain employment, but have to gain employment to get experience, where do I start? Saw the information on the Externships. Has anyone tried this route? Should I go with hospital front desk first and not go for the coding positions? Thanks for any help for the newbie!
