On Bilateral procedures that require an add on code, do you add modifier 50 to both codes? On the primary procedure in the Cpt it states if the procedure is bilateral add modifier 50 & it states the same on the add on code. Any help will be appreciated!!
 
If it states on the CPT code AND the add-on code to add modifier 50 if the procedure is bilateral (essentially giving you instructions on each individual code), I think you would since you can't use the add-on code alone. Make sense? Hope this helps!!
