I wanted to check in on what everyone else is billing for Bilateral salpingectomy at time of C/S. I know there are some forums already on this but they are a few years old. I tried searching ACOG for any updates, but I don't find a clear answer on their page. I have been coding 58700-51 at time of C/S for the last three years, per training from previous coder. Recently I came across some AAPC posts saying we should be using CPT 58611-51.
I wanted to confirm this is what people are billing. I have never had an insurance company deny the 58700-51 Z30.2, but I do want to be doing it legally correct.
