Wiki Billing 90801 twice a year

Is it possible to bill 90801 twice in a year for different insurance.
Ex: On 5/5/12 -- Patient is billed with 90801 for X insurance
On 10/8/12 -- Patient is again billed with 90801 for Y insurance.

Inbetween these 2 encounters patient is billed with 90806 four times. And Dx remains same (300.02, 296.22) for all the encounters.

Any document regarding insurance specific coding guidelines for 90801 will be helpful.

Only if the patient is being seen for another initial evaluation. Probably not, given the time frame in your message and frequency of visits. You should continue to use 90806 to bill the new insurance.
