Good afternoon,
The GYN I work for has started billing for Depression screening (96127) and obesity counseling (G0447) in addition to annual well woman exams. She has been putting 59 modifiers on them to get them paid. I am worried about the over-usage of 59 modifier. Are these codes billable with the well woman exam or office visits and if so, are we allowed to use modifier 59 on them?
