Pt comes in for a post op wound dressing.
Do I need to use V58.31 as well as his Dx: 873.0 ??
The dressing was done by the MA no doctor involved...
I would use 99211 for the CPT, correct?
 
You do not use the acute injury codes for post op encounters with ICD-9 CM . You use only the V code. This will not pay if the patient is still within the surgical global. The number of post op global days will depend on the surgical procedure.
