Pt comes in for a post op wound dressing.
Do I need to use V58.31 as well as his Dx: 873.0 ??
The dressing was done by the MA no doctor involved...
I would use 99211 for the CPT, correct?
 
You will not use the injury code in ICD-9 CM for post op care the V code is all that is necessary, if the patient is still in the global, the payer will not pay, which is appropriate. The number of global days will depend on the surgery code.
