I'm trying to bill for a doctor that performed an echo with spectral Doppler and color flow during a complete cardiovascular stress test. He is having a cardiologist do the interpretation/report of the echo therefore, he only performed the technical component for the echo. Anyone have ideas on how to bill this set of procedures?

There isn't a code for just the intrep of an echo. So I would bill the echo code with a modifer 26 for the professional. The I would bill the stress with a 59. Usually a stress includes and echo. You might try that and see how it pays
