Curious on a situation that happens sometimes..A surgeon is performing a cataract procedure and in the middle of that procedure the doctor will bring in another patient to start on versed to calm the patient down before starting there procedure. Now wouldn't the anesthesia start time begin the time of the medication is given and would it need a modifier since the anesthesiologist/crna are in both cases?

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!!:)
