Wiki Billing CPT 97032 in primary care

I work in a primary care office. Our ARNP wants to start billing out CPT 97032-electrical stimulation. Are PCP's allowed to bill this out? Will a GP modifier be required? I was under the impression this was chiropractic /physical therapy only code.

It depends on your contract with the insurance carriers.

Thank you for the reply. I see nothing in contract (s). I was of the understanding it was based on taxonomy code. We are family practice.

You would ask provider relations if that code is restricted to chiro/PT for their line of business.
