Hi, I work for an ASC that has a CRNA. We perform dental procedures in our ASC. Since there is only a CRNA employed and no anesthesiologist in our facility the office wants to know can the surgeon bill for the anesthesia also as a supervising MD? We bill out for the CRNA but curious on the surgeon? Thanks

Anesthesia by surgeon is not separately billable. Depending on the state regulations CRNA may be able to practice without medical direction by another anesthesiologist.
