I work for a pain management practice and we bill for pain pump refills. When the patient needs to be refilled with medications and they are at another inhouse/outpatient facility, we travel to that facility to fill them.
When we bill for those meds, Medicare denies it with reason code CO5 "Procedure code inconsistent with place of service" and MA130 "Your claim contains incomplete and/or invalid information, and no appeal rights are afforded because the claim is unprocessable."

Does anyone have experience with this, or know how to bill for these services and get paid??

Thanks
