Can a dr bill an office visit with a 58 modifier for a pt being seen during po for lpi (which was done by another dr in the practice)if the diagnosis is the same?

No you cannot use the 58 modifier on an office level it is for procedures only, no you may not charge a post op encounter just because another physician is seeing the patient in the same practice . ALSO just to be clear if the reason for the surgery resolved with the surgery then you do not code it you use V codes for follow up or aftercare.
