I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck billing the new fenestrated graft codes (34841-34848)? The codes do not allow a 62 modifier, how do you bill to get both the vascular surgeon and the radiologist reimbursed ? These procedures are often very lengthy and require a great deal of skill and expertise. The code description states it requires the skills of BOTH a vascular surgeon and radiologist. If billed with an 80 or 82 it is not sufficient reimbursement for the radiologist's time spent in the surgery. Also it has been our experience, one will get paid and not the other.
