My organization is flirting with the idea of offering Hospice care at our facility, where we currently have an entire wing that is not being utilized. We are trying to find information on billing. Namely, does a new Hospice program that is in an existing credentialed SNF have to wait until they (the Hospice) are fully credentialed to begin billing for services, or would they bill under the SNF's NPI#? (Like physicians must wait, or use incident-to...?) Can anyone tell me where to find this information?
