Is anyone familiar with billing for a resident that is doing consultation/H&P, daily progress visits in a hospital setting supervised by cardiology doctor, the resident is a MD,

I found two modifiers, GC and GE, would I bill under the cardiologist's NPI with the modifier or bill under the resident's NPI?

we bill under the supervising physician's NPI and attach the GC modifier, If the teaching physician documents that he seen the patient per teaching physicians guidelines, If the attending physician does not document we can not code( bill) for it. hope this helps
