Is it appropriate to bill for consultations when a new patient comes to an urgent care facility and has a pcp? I really know the answer I'm just making sure I'm not going crazy

If the PCP requested a consultation from your physician then it is appropriate. If the patient just walked in off the street than it doesn't meet the criteria for a consultation. Your provider's opinion should be sought by another provider on the patient.
(Remember the 3 Rs- Request, Render, Report)
