Wondering if anyone has any info on billing for an ASC for "extended stay" for patients that take an extra-long time recovering.

Have you reviewed Medicare Claims Processing Manual Chapter 14 ASC, it specifically addresses what services are included in the facility services in section 10.2- Ambulatory Surgical Center Services on the ASC Covered Procedure List.
No where in the manual does it indicate that you can bill separately for recovery room time, so I don't believe there is any way you can bill for recovery room time for what your facility considers "extra long time recovering".
