A physician I work for is the Medical Director for a Hospice and Home Health agency. He is wanting to bill for the nursing calls that come to our office for these patients. He feels they should bill a 99211 for this. Some advice would be great as I have never done this before. It doesn't seem right to me.

You cannot use a 99211 for a phone call that requires a face to face presence in the office either with provider or other ancillary personnel . There is no code for talking on the phone with another caregiver.

That is exactly what I thought! Plus the fact he is the medical director I feel that is probably included with his contract. Thanks Michelle!!:)
