Has anyone heard that when 10 is implemented that there will be a way for the EMR note to go directly to the insurance company and bill for us rather than us have to put in the codes and bill the insurance?

My employer was saying that our clearing house EMR training they had before I came to work here that they were told that.

I believe what they are referring to is the EMR system pushing the charges to the billing software instead of someone manually keying the charges. Our EMR vendor has this capability and we are using this method when ICD-10 starts to keep error rates low.
