Wiki Billing for Implants not left in patient

From time to time implants are used in cases and are either too small, too big, splinter the bone, etc. Our ASC is charged by the vendor for the implant as it can not be re-sterilized and used.

Would it be appropriate to pass this cost along with the insurance carrier if our contract does allow for reimbursement for implants?
