We have always billed our Birth Control and STD visit's with Problem based visit's which have always been paid for, but now the new insurance company wants us to bill with a Preventive visit code. Do you think this is correct?
We have changed in our clinic and they are getting paid by the insurance now, but we still have other clinics that are still using Problem based visit codes (with the same insurance) and they are getting denied. I have tried to talk with the coder, but she is questioning me?? I just wanted to make sure we were doing it correctly!!
