I have a patient seeing a provider in one of our offices today. Another provider will be logging in remotely to be a part of the visit. How do I bill for this? Both providers are with our practice.

You would only be able to bill for one provider per DOS if in the same office. I would need a little more information as to why the other provider is logging in remote. Is there a minor procedure and requires some type of supervision, or are they signing in remotely to learn?

If a patient is in the office and two providers are in the room, they both don't get to bill. Same thing.

The patient wanted to be seen today by the MD. The PA was the only one in the location she wanted to come to. It was sort of a compromise to keep the patient happy.
