Our physical therapist is taking a week vacation and we are hiring a temporary therapist. What do I need to do to indicate this to the insurances? This person is not credentialed with any of our payers. Is there a modifier? or will we be paid as an out of network provider for this week? Thanks
 
You would need to check with the payer, typically they wont pay for your PT who is not credentialed. If they credential at the group level the temp may be able to see the patients.
