Hello all;
I work in Pain Management clinic and i am the Coder and Biller here and one of my doctors wanted to see if he could bill and get paid for time spent with patient during the infusion of pain meds for codes 96365 96366 and 96367. If he was present during the infusion of the pain medications and offered any assistance with further care of the patient, can we bill for his presence during the infusion if there is some sort of documentation to support it? And what type of documentation can we use to support his presence and further care for the patient? Please let us know and i thank you for any assistance with this. It is very much appreciated.
