Wondering if there is a certain amount of visits a member needs to have during the antepartum care to be able to bill the global CPT for delivery or is it truly based on the insurance. I have seen some sites saying you can have 4 or more prenatal visits to bill the global but others saying you need at least 7 with the provider.

I have seen differing guidance from differing payors. You must follow the carrier policy.
I will note - if another obgyn provided the other visits, most carriers will not accept global billing and want it split even if more than 7 visits. If you were the only practice providing the antepartum care, in absence of a carrier policy, most practices will use the 7 visit cutoff.
