We manage medical conditions that require development, monitoring and or revision of the disease specific plan.
We bill CPT 99424/99425 for "onboarding" the patient a couple days prior to the new patient appointment.
There are a couple of payers that deny the NP visit stating new patient qualifications were not met.
Any advice on why some payers is considering the "onboarding" claim is denied by some payer? These visits are
strictly for gathering information from other health care professionals prior to the patient being see for their NP visit.
I hope this makes sense...Any insight would be appreciated..
