Scenario:

Privately owned homeless shelter who provides cousneling for ex drug addicts and alcholoics, we have a contract with the state to provide counseling services and our own TIN and NPI, however I'm not sure what the most appropiate CPT to use to bill for these services... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Homeless Street Visit Billing

We have a provider in our group who is seeing homeless patients on the street. He is doing a review of systems, physical exam, and assessment/plan. We are trying to determine what charge we could bill and POS. Some of these patients have Medicare and/or Medicaid. It is a much needed service and we are proud to provide it. Does anyone have any similar experience?
