Q6 is only for the doctor. Locums can only cover a doctor - they cannot cover other providers.

These guidelines do not apply to providers other than physicians (i.e., Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Physical Therapists (PTs), etc.).

I have never billed for a locums and a physician is coming into our office on Friday. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing? Do I bill under the practice NPI? Do I use any of the locums numbers anywhere?
