Wiki Billing Medicaid first for medical or billing Medicaid Amerihealth first

I'm new to billing and coding. When patient has both, which one do we bill first for a medical Dx, medicaid Avesis or Medicaid AmeriHealth?

Billing Medicaid Amerihealth or Avesis

I don't know what state you are in but as far as I know Avesis is a vision and dental plan. You should check with the patient or Avesis on line for coverage details.Medicaid is always the last resort payer. If the patient only has Avesis and Amerihealth medicaid you should bill Amerihealth for any medical problems.
