A provider does binaural (92595) elecrtoacoustic evaluation for hearing aid, perhaps 2-3 days before the pt comes to the office for a visit. The audiologist then performs a binaural exam (92591) on the pt a couple of days later..To make sure the hearing aid is right fo the pt..
They then bill both services on the same day even though they did
(92595) a couple of days before the pts exam.
Question: When the provider does the (92595) a few days before the pt is seen, can they bill without the pt being present since its equipment testing?
Can someone who works in a audiologist office help me...
