Hello in the past I had billed out 99232 with 9/1/19-9/5/19 and gotten denials with 5 units.
And they have always been denied.
Now our billing company is saying that they are allowed?
Looking for clarification, if possible.
thanks

It is allowed, but I recommend you put one unit on each line with a separate date for each as this will help avoid denials. Billing it with multiple units and a date range can confuse payers, because while it seems obvious that this is one unit for each day in the range, they can't actually know if you mean that or if you have multiple units on any given days within that range. Also, payer claims keyers and processors are under production pressure and always in a hurry. Since probably 99% of all professional claims come in with the same start and end date, it can be easily overlooked when it is not the same as the first and it's a common error for these claims to process under a single date.
