Wiki Billing PFT Spirometry with Sickle Cell Dx

Okay, I need some help. I work in a pediatric subspecialty clinic. I have Hematology/Oncology physicians that are billing sickle Cell dx codes for PFT's ordered to be performed in our Pulmonology dept. The problem is the physicians are giving the dx (sickle cell, Hodgkins, etc), but not the actual "reason" for the test. They are stating that the child may not have actual signs or symptons, it's more of a "screening" to evaluate of the chemo or any other meds are causing respiratory issues, but they won't know until the test is done. Does anyone have an documentation or case studes that I can see to help educate my physicians?
