Hello,
My doctor is billing code 15823 bilateral and code 67900 also bilateral to Medicare. My question is can I bill 50 modifer on both with 2 units on each line. or is it better to bill LT & RT
thank you for your help

-50 with 1 unit is the correct way to bill for bilateral vs 2 lines with -RT and -LT for Medicare.
Some commercial carriers come up with different policies. I know of one local commercial payor who will only pay if billed 2 separate lines, one -RT, one -LT, but most follow the Medicare guidance.
