I am getting denials when billing 11981 stating that DX V25.5 is incorrect. We are getting paid for the J7307 using that DX. When I called Alabama Medicaid I was told that the DX I am using is being denied due to it being apart of a group type that is not allowed. Anything I find says that V25.5 is a billable/payable code. Any help greatly appreciated!

I am not in Alabama but took a look at their provider manual and V25.5 is listed as a dx to use for family planning services. I would ask a representative to show you where this 'group type' ruling is mentioned.
