Can a physician bill the patient for closure (with needle and thread) of excised adhesions in addition to the actual excision of the adhesions? Because she sews them she feels that she should be able to bill the insurance for the adhesion removal and/or bill the patient for the additional work, or bill both to patient in cases when preforming with another primary procedure that bundles the adhesion removal.
