Wiki Biopsy with C & D

Good afternoon,
I was wondering if a biopsy and C & D can be performed on the same lesion? I was under the impression that only one can be billed for the same lesion.

A biopsy is often performed before another more comprehensive procedure of the same lesion but it is not billable.

Thank you. I have been billing the biopsies should I be billing the C & D instead?
