A potential anesthesia provider is asking if they can charge separately, and be paid, for drawing blood intraoperatively? They would be doing it for the lab for special pediatric and autistic patient cases. I have not dealt with this scenario before and would like to know if anyone else deals with this in their anesthesia coding/billing and how it is handled or charged out.
