we usually do blood draw in the office and then send it out to quest or lab corp. if we do a blood draw in the office, can we bill for more than the venipucture code and E&M level?

thanks

When I worked dermatology we could bill the patient for the E&M, draw and labs but that was because we had a contract and paid the lab company for their services. If the lab company bills the patient's insurance for the labs then you cannot bill the patient for these also. Does that clarify your question?
