New
Hi,
I am new to medical billing, working at a small clinic in Texas, and experiencing a lot of claims rejections in particular for Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS).
We send electronic claims through a clearinghouse, and because most the time BCBS patient insurance cards don't have the claims address or even the payor ID, it can become tedious finding these out for each health plan. Normally, the card says to send claims to the local BCBS plan, which is an address in Dallas. But, recently, that address on a claim ends up in a clearinghouse rejection.
Is there a BCBS claims routing tool that might be helpful? Or any other kind of resource that would help with finding the payor ID and / or correct claims address online?
Any help is much appreciated
