I need help!!! We are in the process of building up our urology department so we don't have a cystoscopy table yet. One of my doctors is having to do a Bonney Test at our outpatient surg center since they have a table. How should this be coded? I have looked everywhere for a CPT that would fit this situation but I could be missing something. Has anyone else come across this issue before????

Bonney Test

If anything can be billed, you would only be able to bill a 51700, and only if the physician is filling the bladder through a catheter before the test. The Bbnney test and bladder stress test are usually done as part of a physicial exam and are not coded separately. I am not a doctor, but he/she should be able to do this test on a normal exam table.
