Does anyone code borderline personality features as 301.83?
Or should disorder be specified?

With mental health, you should never interpret the diagnosis unless the provider has clearly stated the condition. I'd code Borderline, only if the provider specifically stated that. What was the diagnosis on the note?
 
Well, we all have features of borderline personality.....that doesn't give us the disorder. I'd query the provider for clarification.
