Wiki Both Insurance process the claim as Primary

What happen when both insurance pays the claim as primary. Do we contact the insurance company as overpayment?

We find our patients usually need to do a COB update with both plans when this happens. Most don't realize they have to report other coverage to their current plan. Unless the patient is deceased, I haven't found either plan willing to take insurance updates from the provider.
